Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Maxville Manor, a 122-bed long-term care home located in the village of Maxville, Ontario. As a member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality care to our residents and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized care plans for residents, working closely with the Unit Manager and interdisciplinary team
  • Administer medications and treatments, and monitor resident response to care
  • Provide education and support to residents and families, promoting a culture of dignity and respect
  • Supervise and direct Personal Support Workers, promoting a multidisciplinary team approach to care
  • Participate in care conferences and contribute to the development of care plans
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of Ontario
  • Experience working in a long-term care environment and with unregulated care providers preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer focus skills
  • Computer proficiency in PointClickCare and experience with MDS-RAI or other electronic documentation systems required
