**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to lead our Youth Day Program, creating inclusive environments and fostering opportunities for personal growth and social engagement.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate day-to-day operations of the youth day program for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Develop and implement a diverse range of activities, workshops, and outings tailored to the unique needs and interests of the people we support.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and support workers to ensure individualized support plans are developed and implemented effectively.
  • Coordinate with community organizations, schools, and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant progress, attendance, and program outcomes.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines related to the provision of services for individuals with disabilities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all participants feel valued, respected, and empowered.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service Field or Diploma in the field of Human Services.
  • Minimum of three years proven experience supporting persons with intellectual disabilities or recreation planning.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, preferably in a youth program or similar setting.
  • Proficient understanding of intellectual disabilities from a holistic perspective and commitment to advancing social inclusion.
  • Understanding of the principles of inclusion, equity, diversity, and accessibility.
  • Commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to adapt activities and programming to meet the diverse needs and abilities of participants.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and community partners.
  • Effective communication in a professional manner at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

**Additional Requirements:**

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Willingness to use personal vehicle in performance of duties.
  • Successful applicants are required to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Check.
