About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Wood Street Centre Residential Treatment. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide a range of services to youth, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual needs.

You will work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including youth workers, social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to provide stabilization, assessment, and treatment services to youth with complex behavioural and emotional challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or School Psychology, be registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners, and have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health.

We are looking for a candidate with strong assessment skills, comfort with diagnostics using DSM5 criteria, and experience in utilizing the ARC model in therapeutic interventions. Competency in psychoeducational assessment and strong documentation/report writing skills are also essential.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team, and will have the ability to establish models of care based on programming needs and evaluate progress.

We offer a competitive salary range of $37.31 - $49.05 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and a defined benefit pension plan.
