Program Implementer, Provincial Preschool Autism Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Implementer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our Provincial Preschool Autism Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality interventions to preschool-age children with autism and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based interventions to children with autism and their families, including Applied Behaviour Analysis and other promising practices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Provide education and support to caregivers and families to empower them to teach and support their child's development.
- Work in a variety of settings, including clinics, homes, childcare centers, and pre-primary classrooms.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Child and Youth Studies, or a related field.
- Recent experience working with young children with developmental disabilities, specifically children with autism.
- Post-secondary Behavioral Interventions Certificate or Diploma preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support certification and First Aid certification required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and flexibility.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
