Machine/Forklift Operators
Permacon, a leading manufacturer of concrete masonry and landscaping products, is seeking a skilled Machine/Forklift Operator to join our team at our state-of-the-art Milton Plant.
About Permacon
As a division of Oldcastle APG, Permacon operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec, and is committed to creating a secure, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment by following established procedures and guidelines.
- Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store, and/or pile different products, materials, and raw materials.
- Operate various automated production equipment, including forklifts, to optimize cycle time and meet production targets.
- Perform quality and production duties, including setting up product changes and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift license and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work under immediate supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 20kg and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset.
