Permacon, a leading manufacturer of concrete masonry and landscaping products, is a division of CRH and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently seeking a skilled Machine/Forklift Operator at our state-of-the-art Milton Plant.

Salary: $23.80-$26.80/hour

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store, and/or pile various products, materials, and raw materials.
  • Operate automated production equipment to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform quality and production duties in accordance with the quality manual.
  • Set up product changes and optimize cycle times.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by superiors.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift license.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Organized and methodical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent attendance record and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
