The Advanced Care Paramedic will work in collaboration with other team members to meet patient care needs, practicing within the scope of their profession and demonstrating competencies in patient assessment and care. They will also contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department, supporting the development of colleagues and students through mentorship and preceptorship.

About the Role
  • Provide patient care and support in a hospital setting, working in collaboration with other team members to meet patient needs.
  • Practice within the scope of the Advanced Care Paramedic profession, demonstrating competencies in patient assessment and care.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department, supporting the development of colleagues and students through mentorship and preceptorship.
About You
  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours and Compensation
  • Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends & holidays
  • $36.57 hourly
