About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced life support to patients in emergency situations
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide timely interventions
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department through process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
