About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Primary Care Paramedic is responsible for providing support to Physicians and nurses and assisting in patient care. Duties include:

  • Medication administration (within scope of practice)
  • IV initiation and fluid administration
  • Blood work
  • CPR
  • Urine analysis and pregnancy testing
About You

We're looking for a Primary Care Paramedic with:

  • Grade XII required
  • Completion of Primary Care Paramedic Certificate or equivalent
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with Emergency Health Services Nova Scotia (EHSNS) to practice
  • Current BLS-C (HCP)
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or in emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunications skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent, Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends & holidays
Compensation and Incentives

$29.59 hourly
