About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice as an Advanced Care Paramedic, utilizing your expertise to provide critical care to patients in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through ongoing professional development, including education programs, research, and quality improvement activities.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department, supporting the development of colleagues and students through mentorship and preceptorship.

Requirements:

  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
