Insurance Agency in Burlington Ontario looking for an experienced insurance representative. OTL is required to provide service/sales for property, auto and commercial policies. A RIBO licence can be converted to OTL. Our office also provides a full line of life, critical illness and disability policies, which requires an LLQP licence, which can be obtained in the future if a successful candidate is interested. Our office has been offering Spanish speaking services for 15 years, so a candidate that is fluent in Spanish would assist with servicing these clients, while also offering additional product lines that we offer. A Spanish speaking representative would also be handling incoming calls from Spanish speaking individuals looking for quotes, and reach out to previous customers to quote them again. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has excellent telephone manner, can assess and assist our clients in a quick, professional and friendly manner. A person who can multi task and is 100% committed to providing the best service to our clients. Someone who is motivated to generate new business and be financially rewarded for new sales. A person who can identify a client need and takes the opportunity to offer additional products when a client doesn't have it or its with a different insurer. Responsibilities
  • Establishes personalized telephone/in person/email contact with prospects/clients.
  • Creates a climate of trust conducive to the service/sale of a home or auto insurance policy.
  • Educates and advises our clients on insurance products, while adhering to the company's underwriting policies.
  • Work with the agent and team to service our existing clients and completes requests for changes to their policies
  • follow up with clients for outstanding items
  • discussions with clients/prospects, to uncover their specific insurance needs, to provide them options/solutions to meet those needs or gap in coverage.
Job Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust, be a good listener, patient and be likeable to attract new clients and retain current ones.
  • ability to manage time and multi task
  • strong telephone and people skills
  • able to appropriately apply varying underwriting guidelines/procedures based on client profile
Qualifications:
  • Previous insurance experience in sales/service of clients
  • Property and Casualty license - OTL is preferred or RIBO licence
  • Prior sales and customer service experience in other industries.
  • fluent in English is required
  • fluent in Spanish would be an asset
  • LLQP life insurance licence would be an asset
  • candidate is responsible for any costs/time to study/pass the OTL exam, which is required prior to commencing employment (unless candidate has LLQP or RIBO licence)
  • RIBO licence is transferrable to OTL without additional testing
