Apotex is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, installing, and calibrating pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical and low-voltage electrical control components/systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, calibrate, and alter/modify pneumatic, hydraulic, low-voltage, and mechanical equipment or system components.
  • Carry out field and bench calibration duties and tasks using various instruments following applicable SOPs.
  • Integrity-test components to ensure product efficacy.
  • Determine the impact of work scheduled and coordinate with departments/customers to communicate the impact on production operations.
  • Compile, enter data, and maintain all information/documentation relevant to maintenance and calibration programs.
  • Arrange for contract/third-party services as required and supervise all work performed.
  • Ensure all work is performed in full compliance with internal and external procedures, codes, regulations, and established safety standards.
  • Update work instructions for calibration procedures.

  • Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
  • Perform all other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum High school Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a recognized industrial Instrumentation apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment.
    • Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry experience preferred.
    • Keyboarding skills and knowledge of MS Office.
    • Working knowledge of company GMPs.
    • Good communication skills, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum five years experience in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical and low-voltage electrical control components/systems.
