Position Overview

The role of the Production Technician is integral to the manufacturing process, ensuring that products are produced in accordance with both customer and company standards while collaborating effectively within a team setting. The Production Technician is tasked with the sanitation, setup, and operation of all production machinery.

**Please note, this position involves a 12-hour continental rotating shift**

Key Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble manufacturing equipment following established protocols to ensure compliance and meet departmental changeover objectives in support of productivity goals.
  • Efficiently process batches within specified parameters to achieve departmental batch execution targets by maintaining optimal run rates in alignment with scheduling requirements.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including observations, test results, and batch record information.
  • Safely operate all essential equipment and machinery utilized in the manufacturing, storage, cleaning, and transportation of production-related assets.
  • Conduct in-process testing as required during the product manufacturing phase.
  • Alert the Coordinator in case of any deviations from procedures, product defects, safety incidents, or other significant issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum secondary school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  • Capability to lift 20 kgs regularly.
  • Responsible use of Personal Protective Equipment and Respiratory Protection in accordance with Apotex protocols.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on customer service, demonstrating energy and drive in work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive demeanor, showcasing cooperation, communication, flexibility, and initiative to develop functional skills.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing within the Food or Pharmaceutical Industry is advantageous.
