The Boutique Director is responsible for leading the team to provide exceptional experiences for all clients, achieving or exceeding sales goals, and cultivating long-term relationships with clients. This role requires a strong understanding of the luxury retail market, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive sales growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a client development vision to drive sales growth and customer loyalty
  • Lead the development of excellent client relationships through memorable moments and exceptional service
  • Drive sales and care service teams to achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • Master a strong knowledge of the boutique business and assess local market opportunities to implement a proactive sales strategy
  • Partner with the Management Team to develop effective client strategies and ensure the development of genuine client relationships
  • Strategize and develop networking activities for the boutique team
  • Develop and execute strategic events to enhance the client experience

Partner with Regional and Corporate Partners:

  • Determine, communicate, and monitor individual and team KPIs to drive success
  • Strategize with Corporate Departments to effectively communicate key messages and business opportunities
  • Lead and delegate boutique projects to the Management Team as needed
  • Lead the Management Team to ensure fluidity of operations and support boutique management with controllable operating expenses

Team Development and Management:

  • Motivate and support the Boutique staff
  • Communicate strategic brand initiatives through regular team meetings
  • Educate and inspire the boutique team with Maison knowledge and industry news
  • Perform administrative and HR tasks, including commission accuracy checks and overtime management
  • Actively recruit and maintain a talent pipeline
  • Lead the performance management process through regular individual meetings
  • Assess potential and propose development opportunities

Prestige Business Development:

  • Strategize outreach to local prestige markets
  • Cultivate prestige partnerships to increase prestige sales
  • Develop and implement a "backpack" strategy to promote prestige sales

Be a Maison Ambassador:

  • Uphold Cartier standards with a professional image and demeanor
  • Create a positive and productive boutique environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (plus)
  • 7-10 years of management experience in luxury retail or hospitality (required)
  • Required experience in managing direct reports

Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Available to work retail hours, including weekends, and travel for trainings and client events
  • Previous experience with SAP (preferred)
  • Ability to stand on feet all day

Expected Salary Range: CAD $155,000 to CAD $165,000 plus incentives
