About the Role:

Hunter West Legal Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to support the Partners of a well-established boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the employee lifecycle, including full cycle recruitment and selection, onboarding, annual performance reviews, and compensation analysis.
  • Administer benefits and leaves of absence, manage staff vacation time, and oversee terminations and departures.
  • Run payroll in collaboration with the Finance Director and assist Partners and Finance Director with day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Employment Standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience within a law firm.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Open and flexible attitude.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field is considered an asset.
