The Registrar's Office at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Assistant Registrar, Admissions.

Qualifications

This position requires an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 18 months of relevant professional experience. Previous experience in a Registrar's or Admissions Office is preferred. The ideal candidate will be service oriented and have a high level of attention to detail. Applicants should be comfortable working to deadlines in a highly diversified environment and have a high tolerance for multiple disruptions throughout the day. Excellent time management skills and the ability to determine priorities are essential in this position. Confidentiality is absolutely essential when dealing with student information. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and have an aptitude for, or previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague or Banner.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Admissions, the Assistant Registrar, Admissions has in-depth knowledge of admissions policies related to all MSVU undergraduate programs, allowing for efficiency and consistency of approach across all areas. The incumbent is responsible for all admissions processes at the undergraduate level, including making admissions decisions for high school (including IB), transfer students, mature and international students. The position is also responsible to assess transcripts for potential transfer credits for both domestic and international applicants. In addition, the Assistant Registrar, Admissions oversees all document management for all incoming application (undergraduate and graduate) and works with the Enrolment Service Associates to ensure all documents submitted are received and recorded in accordance with application deadlines.

Salary: $57,152 per annum [Step Progression: $57,152 to $69,535]
