We're seeking a skilled Clinical Supervisor to join our team in the Northern Zone. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care services.

About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for coordinating safe, efficient patient care services within Northern Zone facilities and Nova Scotia Health. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and continuing care providers to address challenges and achieve high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Responding to capacity/patient flow issues and emergency response situations
  • Bed management and supporting staff
  • Assisting with unanticipated operational issues
About You

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related health discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting, plus 1-2 years working in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, time management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Collaborator with demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with software programs related to bed utilization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying the principles of adult education
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use and application of the Patient Flow Dashboard (Tableau) and Meditech
Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time Position, 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$53.35 Hourly
