About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinical supervisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Patient Access and Flow team, you will be responsible for coordinating safe and efficient patient care services within our Northern Zone facilities.

Your primary focus will be on responding to capacity and patient flow issues, emergency response, bed management, and supporting staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services.

You will work collaboratively with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and continuing care providers to apply strategic and analytic thinking to address challenges and achieve our goals.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related health discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting, with 1-2 years in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity
  • Excellent leadership, planning, organization, time management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Collaborative and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with software programs related to bed utilization and the Patient Flow Dashboard (Tableau)
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles and adult education
  • Proficiency in Meditech and other relevant systems
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The hourly rate is $53.35.
