Regional Service Sales Manager

The Regional Service Sales Manager is a sales professional responsible for driving contract service sales growth and ensuring the achievement of set percentage targets for contract renewals. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining gross margins, profits, and support contract service sales across all assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow contract sales by a determined percentage per year while maintaining historic gross margins.
  • Develop and lead a team of Sales Representatives who embody the company's core values and customer experience promise.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Contract Service Sales team in your region to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify, grow, and nurture key accounts that drive national sales growth, focusing on non-tendered accounts.
  • Collaborate with customers to suggest new ways to increase sales through new products and services.
  • Ensure timely renewal of expiring agreements and communicate current expiring agreements to the Service Contract Sales Team.
  • Work with Contract Sales Representatives and Service Management to determine plans of action to ensure renewals meet company targets.
  • Execute the Contract Sales Plan and provide plans and strategies for target market penetration and customer development.
  • Participate in and oversee the pursuit of all sales opportunities.
  • Manage field and in-house sales functions in the region to exceed sales revenue, gross margin, and income targets.
  • Prioritize team duties and hold team members accountable for budgets, activities, and customer service.
  • Utilize market and industry trends, competitors, and customer strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Perform human resource duties, including employee coaching, recruiting, compensation, team building, disciplinary action, employee development, safety, and training.
  • Implement new products and services and train Service Sales Representatives in your region.
  • Work with Managers and VP to review Service Sales Reps' annual targets, identify areas of opportunity for growth, and provide direction on required assistance.
  • Monitor Bid Boards and ensure bids are completed.
  • Evaluate the support network required for Service Sales Reps to complete bid-spec tenders and ensure accurate completion.
  • Develop and create service agreement sales and marketing support material.
  • Review and suggest trade shows for local branches to attend or participate in.
  • Ensure all products and services offered by the company are fully marketed.
  • Assist the credit and collections department with resolving customer disputes and non-payment.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead and organize meetings with a training/learning element.
  • Share best service sales practices and provide sales support to drive consistency and optimum success through team meetings.
  • Travel to all branches within the territory on a monthly basis.
  • Meet with Repair Reps and Service Managers to discuss areas of success or improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • A self-starter and team player who can work independently and collaboratively.
  • Technical aptitude (engines, control systems, networks, and regulatory codes).
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and practices.
  • Be available for work in the event of a power outage or declared State of Emergency.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as required for the growth and development of the organization and the position.
