About the Position

We are seeking a driven and talented individual to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager for Western Canada. This role requires extensive travel to manage a sales territory, grow and maintain existing customers, and acquire new customers. The ideal candidate will be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, or Saskatoon and will be responsible for leading product training and education to our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory (50%), including overnight travel
  • Build and support relationships with key customers, business partners, and industry associations to provide winning value and optimize go-to-market strategies and priorities
  • Responsible for implementing an effective account management strategy geared towards exceeding growth expectations, improving customer service, and strengthening the brand
  • Develop new customers and focus sales efforts by calling on current customers throughout the assigned sales area
  • Submit sales activity and results reporting via Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform product orientations, training, and execute corporate promotions throughout the sales territory
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
  • Attend tradeshows, professional seminars, and internal company events
  • Achieve sales targets as established by the organization
Requirements
  • Ability to travel more than 50% of the time within the assigned territory
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Post-secondary education in business or related field or combination of education and previous professional sales experience
  • Experience, knowledge, and current relationships in the water treatment wholesale and plumbing industry considered an asset
  • Professional outside sales experience
  • Knowledge of CRM Salesforce system an asset
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Tech savvy with proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products and Google sheets
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior ability to build and grow business relationships
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Able to work independently, make solid decisions, and work as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple accounts
  • Ability to maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
  • Mechanically inclined, able to work with plumbing and water treatment professionals in the field and on job sites
  • Willingness to learn water treatment theory, processes, and applications
