Relief Full Time Booking Clerk, Medical Imaging Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to perform scheduling and booking functions for Medical Imaging appointments. Job Summary The Relief Full Time Booking Clerk, Medical Imaging is responsible for scheduling and booking patient appointments, preparing and confirming patient information, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Schedules and books patient appointments in accordance with Radiologist's established priority level and medical/technical staff schedules • Prepares and confirms patient information, enters booking and patient information into radiology and hospital computerized and/or manual booking and patient information systems • Maintains accurate records, including patient demographic information and appointment schedules • Provides patient waiting list information to supervisor, including number of appointments scheduled and patients waiting to be scheduled • Acts as receptionist, greeting and directing patients and visitors to appropriate areas, assisting staff, and answering telephones • Arranges transportation for patients required for transfer and/or appointments • Orients new and relief staff to scheduling and booking procedures • Performs clerical functions, including operating a facsimile and/or photocopier, opening and date stamping mail, and signing out/in images/films Qualifications • Grade 12, two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience • Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm • Knowledge of medical terminology • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Ability to deal with others effectively • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position • Ability to organize work • Ability to operate related equipment About Fraser Health Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over two million people.
