We are seeking a Casual Clerk to provide administrative support in a mental health and substance use services team in White Rock, B.C. Job Description: The Casual Clerk will provide administrative support to the team by performing various duties such as reception services, typing, filing, and data entry. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: • Provides reception services, including operating a multi-line switchboard, answering and directing calls, and receiving visitors • Types material such as correspondence, reports, and documents using various software and computerized systems • Maintains filing systems, including creating and labeling files, and developing forms • Processes incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, reports, and documents • Operates office equipment such as photocopiers, shredders, and fax machines • Assists with client intake, including receiving referrals, scheduling appointments, and obtaining client information • Assists with timekeeping functions, including gathering hours worked and coding hours into payroll systems • Arranges meetings and special functions, including booking meeting rooms and sending invitations • Performs general staffing functions, including calling in relief staff and maintaining staffing schedules Qualifications: • Grade 12, plus one year of recent related office/clerical experience • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Ability to deal effectively with others • Ability to exercise sound judgment • Ability to organize work and establish workload priorities • Ability to type 40 wpm • Ability to use applicable computer equipment and software • Working knowledge of general office practices and procedures • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant acts, regulations, programs, policies, and procedures • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position About Fraser Health: Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over two million people.
