**The Role**:
We are seeking a dynamic professional who is a people person and thrives in helping others learn and develop.
**Job Duties**:
- Oversee all departmental training initiatives, including conducting new employee orientation sessions, technical job training, and feedback sessions, while effectively utilizing various brand service toolkit training resources.
- Facilitate and deliver essential core training programs with a genuine, personalized approach, adhering to corporate/brand training and development initiatives. These programs include but not limited to Orientation, Service Excellence, leadership skills development, management development program, coaching and performance feedback.
- Maintain updated curriculum database and training records for all employees.
- Ensure new hires undertake mandatory training including resort, departmental, and Marriot Global Source training programs.
- Help employees identify specific behaviors that will contribute to service excellence.
- Uses effective training techniques to ensure employees have a good understanding of guest satisfaction and can demonstrate guest satisfaction skills.
- Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the uniqueness of each audience, including delivery adjustment to the various learning styles represented, as well as for any special needs that could affect the learning.
- Verifies participants receive the appropriate property and company orientation, understand program materials, and build relationships with property leadership team.
- Perform administrative support duties for the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings such as: scheduling meeting logistics; taking meeting minutes; coordinating and tracking outcomes of safety walkthroughs; and sharing documentation with applicable departments.
- Ensure performance reviews are uploaded to the employee file and provide direction/reports to departments monthly for completion.
- Support the People and Culture department as part of the day-to-day operations.
This position will interact with all levels of stakeholders in the organization from Senior Management to Front Line employees; always focused on displaying a professional presentation and sophisticated communication with a high degree of coaching and mentoring skills; must possess high energy along with the ability to be measured and thoughtful when required.
**Experience and Educational Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Facilitator/Coordinator.
- Post-Secondary education (Hotel Management / Education / Business) is an asset.
- Proficiency in attentive listening, comprehension, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal is required.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people, including employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Passion for effective communication, be able to articulate ideas clearly and be comfortable public speaking in front of diverse audiences.
- Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate others while exhibiting a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Previous hotel experience is an asset.
- Excellent eye for quality, detail, and accuracy.
- Proficient in multitasking, delivering accurate work within tight deadlines.
