Director of Sales Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales Engineering to join our team. This individual contributor role is pivotal in driving technical sales efforts and ensuring our clients receive the highest level of technical support and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the sales team to identify and understand customer needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our product offerings.
  • Develop and deliver technical proposals to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to design customized solutions that meet their needs.
  • Provide hands-on support during implementation to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive long-term growth.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to the product development team to inform product enhancements.
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and support teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Participate in the development of sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Engage in post-sales support for specific accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address technical issues post-implementation to resolve customer concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales engineering processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and mentor junior team members to drive growth and development.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with other companies to enhance our product offerings and expand market reach.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales, preferably in event technology or SaaS.
  • Proven track record of supporting complex sales processes and closing deals.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM and Marketing automation platforms.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in event technology, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • General Marketing tech knowledge a plus.
