Join our team as a Department Manager - Electrical Product Safety at QAI Laboratories, a leading independent third-party testing, inspection and certification organization.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead our Electrical Safety Department at our Burnaby, BC location. As a Department Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the department, ensuring efficient operation and meeting customer service requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the department's backlog of projects and ensure timely completion
- Oversee the efficient operation of the department and meet customer service requirements
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the Electrical Department's business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with quality system and administrative procedures
- Travel throughout Canada and the USA as business dictates
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5 years directly related experience
- Superior MS Word and Excel skills, proficiency with Email and Adobe Acrobat
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Practical knowledge in the areas of expertise
