Summary

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is
responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations in accordance with
the hotel's activities. Overall, this position involves supervising the
restaurant and bar team, training and guiding employees, creating schedules,
keeping track of the needed inventory, and ensuring that our guests receive an
outstanding service and dining experience, and ensuring that the Sheraton Brand
standards are met. This person will work
closely with the kitchen, administration, and front desk in the day-to-day
operations. He/she is responsible for enhancing the customer experience and
providing assistance that exceeds our customers' expectations. He/she will
always project a positive professional image of a leader to colleagues and
guests.

Duties

Ensure customer satisfaction

Support employees - Training and
development

Actively participate in staff
recruitment efforts

Knowledge of the characteristics of
different alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Manage and coordinate daily restaurant
operations

Ensure compliance with standards

Control inventory and quality

Administer schedules and reservations

Makes operational decisions

Be identifiable and accessible to
customers at all times

Be active in the general preventive
maintenance of the restaurant and its environment

Take charge of customers' problems and
requests and respond to them as far as possible.

Ensure that health and safety at work
are a priority

All other tasks required for the smooth
running of the restaurant

Key
Skills

Previous experience as a food and
beverage manager in a unionized hotel (an asset),

Management experience in a high-volume
food service establishment,

Ability to work effectively under
pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment;

Attentive to detail and quality

Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems
required; (SQUIREL)

Hotel school diploma (in food service
management an asset);

Self-motivated and a leader;

A self-starter and leader with a strong
sense of initiative;

Good computer skills;

Comfortable with computer software;

Excellent communication and
organizational skills;

Strong interpersonal and communication
skills;

Good interpersonal and problem-solving
skills;

Strong sense of initiative;

Particularly responsible and reliable;

Flexible working hours (days, evenings,
weekends and public holidays);

Bilingual French/English;

Ability to focus on customer needs;

Ability to focus on guests' needs,
remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Qualifications
sought

1 year experience in a restaurant or
similar position in the hotel industry.

Experience in a unionized environment is
an asset

Bilingual - oral and written (French and
English)

Knowledge of Squirrel and CI TY software
(an asset)
