Position Responsibilities

  • Manage and service commercial accounts.
  • Review renewals with clients and provide coverage recommendations.
  • Assist clients with day-to-day inquiries.
  • Write new business through referrals.
  • Market existing accounts to insurance companies.
  • Develop insurance market knowledge to understand where a risk will fit.
  • Understand wordings and coverages to compare insurance policies and quotes.

Skills You Will Need To Succeed

  • A Registered Insurance Broker License (RIBO).
  • Knowledge in Commercial Property & Casualty, Commercial Auto, and Farm Insurance.
  • Completed, enrolled or interested in the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses.
  • College Insurance Program Diploma or an undergraduate degree.
  • Strong customer service skills to build relationships and maintain long-term growth and retention.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritizing skills.
  • A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
