About the Opportunity

The Advanced Care Paramedic is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to meet patient care needs. This role requires a high level of autonomy, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice and demonstrate competencies in the provision of care
  • Maintain and continually enhance competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, research, and continuous quality activities
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department in meeting patient needs
  • Support the development of colleagues and students by acting as a preceptor and providing ongoing mentorship

About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team. If you have the following qualifications and experience, we'd love to hear from you:

  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

What We Offer

  • Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Competitive hourly rate: $36.57
