As a Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the successful execution of orders, projects, and repairs involving AWC's service group. AWC has a wide product offering and a diverse group of employees with varied skill sets, thus it is essential that our resources are coordinated and managed effectively to ensure that our timeline, safety, and quality objectives are met.

The Service Coordinator will report to the VP, Distribution and be responsible for all aspects of service and repair, including quoting, labor resource scheduling, shop supply procurement & supplier management, liaising with both clients and employees, and project management. At the same time, the creation and maintenance of a work environment that is both effective and rewarding for its members is paramount.

  • Act as the service writer for quotations and reports for repair services

O Generate RMAs and send to customers/account managers along with supporting documents (decontamination sheets) as required

O Generate, co-ordinate and distribute work orders to the service group as required

o Format shop reports into quotes and send to customers/account managers

O Procurement of parts and materials

  • Create and maintain a schedule for each job and ensure resource availability to meet due dates
  • Work closely with the applications team and Service Foreman to coordinate fabrication schedules and mitigate conflicts and delays
  • Perform a project management role as it relates to service orders for AWC's products and services for items such as component and system fabrication, rotating equipment repairs, and similar work. This involves managing labor input, procurement, maintaining timelines, coordination with office project managers, etc
  • Ensure required QA/QC documentation is generated and maintained
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to procure shop supplies and outsourced services

A must...

  • Completion of High School
  • Post-secondary education in a technical field is an asset
  • Minimum 3 years on-the-job experience with technical products and services similar to those offered by AWC
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English including competence with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Decision making and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle variable workloads, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees, vendors, and contractors
  • A strong technical aptitude
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to help others and learn new skills
