Environmental Sample Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Sample Management team as a Environmental Sample Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the life cycle of samples, ensuring seamless communication with clients, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with clients to assist with or direct inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Work in conjunction with Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Provide clients with field supplies, including bottles, sampling media, coolers, and chain of custody forms.
- Receive and process samples from clients, verifying orders and ensuring sample integrity and accuracy.
- Log in and label samples, communicating with lab staff on priority samples or samples with special requirements.
- Store and manage sample disposition as delegated by the Lab Manager.
- Assist in the coordination of field supplies and maintain lab/depot hours, including opening and/or closing.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position, including sample pre-treatment and shipping.
- Minimum High School Diploma-Post secondary education is desired, but not essential.
- Experience in Inventory Control or Materials Management would be considered an asset.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain productive work relationships with various levels of staff.
- Organized and keen attention to detail, with very good computer skills – MS office.
- Demonstrated initiative, detail-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
- A proven customer service orientation with a style that demonstrates timely response.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
