Claims Resolution Specialist II

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Resolution Specialist II to join our team at TD Bank. As a Claims Resolution Specialist II, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving claims in a fair and timely manner, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate claims regarding liability, injuries, and other accident-related damages promptly and thoroughly.
- Establish and maintain adequate case reserves by adhering to the BI reserving protocol and practices.
- Collect and document claims-related information in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage both potential indemnity and expense to ensure sound cost management principles and practices.
- Exercise sound judgment in the evaluation and resolution of all meritorious claims.
- Makes prompt contact with all unrepresented claimants to establish and maintain a relationship of trust and cooperation.
- Manage expectations of claimants throughout the claims process.
- Communicate with clients, third-party claimants, witnesses, healthcare professionals, law enforcement personnel, and forensic experts.
- Complete all required reports and notepad entries in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of liability claims handling experience.
- An early understanding of the insurance industry and the related legal environment.
- The ability to prioritize and complete all claims handling-related activities.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong client service orientation.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Effective analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- The ability to adapt effectively to a changing environment.
- The ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
- The ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- C.I.P. designation or actively working towards C.I.P. designation is required for licensing purposes.
