Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Resolution Specialist II to join our team at TD Bank. As a Claims Resolution Specialist II, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving claims in a fair and timely manner, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate claims regarding liability, injuries, and other accident-related damages promptly and thoroughly.
  • Establish and maintain adequate case reserves by adhering to the BI reserving protocol and practices.
  • Collect and document claims-related information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage both potential indemnity and expense to ensure sound cost management principles and practices.
  • Exercise sound judgment in the evaluation and resolution of all meritorious claims.
  • Makes prompt contact with all unrepresented claimants to establish and maintain a relationship of trust and cooperation.
  • Manage expectations of claimants throughout the claims process.
  • Communicate with clients, third-party claimants, witnesses, healthcare professionals, law enforcement personnel, and forensic experts.
  • Complete all required reports and notepad entries in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of liability claims handling experience.
  • An early understanding of the insurance industry and the related legal environment.
  • The ability to prioritize and complete all claims handling-related activities.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong client service orientation.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Effective analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • The ability to adapt effectively to a changing environment.
  • The ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
  • The ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • C.I.P. designation or actively working towards C.I.P. designation is required for licensing purposes.
