Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Manager to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our front-end operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe work processes and emergency procedures are followed, including safe lifting techniques, cleanliness of the work area, evacuations, and emergency codes.
  • Handle customer and associate concerns and provide guidance as required.
  • Monitor front-end associates to ensure proper coverage, coordinate breaks, and provide assistance to outlying registers.
  • Provide training to associates on systems and company procedures, including scanning accuracy, productivity, company programs, and initiatives.
  • Oversee purchase, return, and exchange transactions and assist with error corrections, providing approvals and verifying processes to meet company guidelines.
  • Ensure all electronic article surveillance (EAS) systems are functioning to standard, including cashiers deactivating and greeters handling issues appropriately.
  • Prepare registers for opening and closing daily and support cashiers by providing change as needed, while maintaining front-end cash levels and supporting processes by completing audits on register accuracy.
  • Oversee and promote all company-sponsored programs and initiatives, including credit card services, Walmart protection plans, charity initiatives, and discount programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in customer service and retail operations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Experience in a similar role or in a related field.
  • Knowledge of company systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
