We are seeking a Coordinator, Volunteer Resources to oversee the coordination and evaluation of Volunteer Programs and services at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C.
Job Description
The Coordinator, Volunteer Resources will be responsible for:
• Developing strategies and initiatives for volunteer recruitment and reviewing volunteer program goals and objectives
• Pre-screening volunteer applications, interviewing volunteers, and selecting suitable candidates
• Providing orientation and training on the role of volunteers to both volunteers and staff members
• Liaising with Auxiliary, staff, clients, patients, residents, families, and community groups to identify volunteer opportunities
• Evaluating volunteer activities and making recommendations for improvements
• Assigning volunteers to specific activities and maintaining their schedules
• Supervising and preparing written and verbal evaluations of volunteers
• Participating in the coordination of recognition and appreciation initiatives for volunteers
Qualifications
• Graduation from a Bachelor program in Social Sciences
• Three (3) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to communicate effectively, deal with others effectively, and organize work
• Ability to operate related equipment
