Job Summary

The Manager, Volunteer Resources is a key member of the Fraser Health team, responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating volunteer programs and services. This role requires a strong leader who can foster a spirit of community involvement in healthcare through volunteerism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement volunteer program policies, procedures, and standards of service
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to meet organizational needs
  • Manage volunteer resources, including scheduling and assigning volunteers to provide meaningful opportunities
  • Develop and implement marketing and recruitment campaigns to attract a wide range of volunteers
  • Provide consultative advice regarding volunteerism to other healthcare practitioners
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the Volunteer Resources program
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and negotiation of essential service contingency plans
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree in Social Sciences, Education, or a Health-related field, plus completion of a certificate program in volunteer management. They will also have five to seven years of recent, related experience, including two years in a management role or leadership role.

Current membership with the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC) is also required.
