Job Summary

The Manager, Volunteer Resources is a key member of the Fraser Health team, responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating volunteer programs and services. This role requires a strong understanding of volunteer management principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement volunteer programs and services that align with Fraser Health's strategic objectives
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality services
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to promote volunteer engagement and participation
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to support volunteer programs
  • Monitor and evaluate volunteer program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in Social Sciences, Education, or Health-related field, plus completion of a certificate program in volunteer management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in volunteer management, including 2 years in a leadership role
  • Current membership with the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC)

  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate volunteer programs and services
  • Ability to train, develop, and supervise volunteers and other designated staff
