The Recruitment Coordinator is a key member of the team responsible for facilitating the hiring process for all positions across the organization. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure a positive experience for new employees.

SSRG is a leading security company providing risk management and security solutions to partners and clients across Canada. Our team is diverse and highly qualified, with a relentless commitment to excellence.

The Recruitment Coordinator will work closely with the Employee Resources Coordinator and the Manpower Operations department to:

  • Post new job ads as needed
  • Screen applicants using applicant tracking software
  • Conduct telephone, online, and in-person interviews
  • Arrange interviews for managers
  • Assess and select suitable applicants for available roles
  • Organize and participate in open house/job fairs
  • Prepare hiring packages and maintain records
  • Perform reference checks for new hires
  • Input employee data in databases
  • Set up new employee files and prepare them for deployment
  • Respond to enquiries from prospective and existing employees
  • Ensure employee licensing compliance
  • Assist with the issuing of uniforms for new hires
  • Assist with the facilitation of the orientation program and other training initiatives
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees leaving the company
  • Assist with social event planning and other employee engagement activities
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team

Requirements:

  • One year of administrative experience, including data entry
  • A university degree and/or college diploma or certificate in Personnel Management, Business Management, or Human Resources
  • Great communication skills (fluent in written and verbal English)
  • Excellent customer service skills and a people-person
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Email, Word, Excel)
  • Able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to problem solve and be proactive
  • Have attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Able to maintain the privacy of confidential information

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Salary of $52,000/year plus extended health benefits
  • A fitness centre membership is included
