Job DescriptionAs a Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Organizing, guiding, and managing the Food & Beverage team, while motivating and encouraging their individual and team development
- Maintaining Langdon Hall's service levels and brand experience
- Identifying opportunities and implementing revenue-generating ideas that exceed the expectations of our guests, ensuring departmental goals are met
- Maintaining departmental profitability related to labour cost control measures and operational expenditures, without compromising guest or employee experiences
- Establishing measures to maintain proper use of equipment, hard goods, and soft goods in order to maintain the longevity of use
- Overseeing the continued development and implementation of operational standards
- Inspiring accountability by creating, following, and coaching on standardized practices for the leadership and line teams
- Communicating expectations, goals, and feedback to the group regularly and resolving any concerns or issues actively
- Identifying and addressing conflicts early, facilitating discussions and finding satisfactory solutions for all parties involved
- Setting clear objectives, defining roles and responsibilities, and ensuring each team member aligns with the team's vision
- Recognizing and rewarding good performance, providing feedback, and encouraging professional development
- Supporting team members' professional development by providing opportunities for training and growth
We are looking for a candidate with:
- 4 years' experience in a managerial level in hotel food and beverage or restaurant at a property that reflects similar standards set by Relais & Chateaux or CAA Five Diamond restaurant
- A degree from an accredited university or college in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred
- Acute knowledge of principles and processes for providing personal guest service
- The ability to assess guests' needs, evaluate guest satisfaction, and meet standards for guest service
- Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning, budget allocations, human resource principles, and leadership practice
