Job Title: Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

At Château de Mercuès, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. As a key member of our dining room team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that every dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Supervise and train dining room staff to ensure that they are providing the highest level of service.
  • Plan and implement effective training programs to ensure that staff are equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Monitor and maintain the physical appearance of the dining room, including table settings, linens, and silverware.
  • Supervise the scheduling and assignment of tasks to dining room staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, reservations, and incident reports.
  • Assist with special events and functions, ensuring that they are executed to the highest standard.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a food and beverage role, with 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of fine dining service procedures and functions.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and wine pairing.
  • Supervisory experience in front-of-house operations within a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment.
  • Smart Serve certification required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, peers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
