Position: Senior Engagement Lead - Risk Consulting Advisory

As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of comprehensive risk management and loss control strategies for our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting field visits to evaluate property and business interruption exposures, preparing detailed findings reports, and collaborating with clients and insurers to establish mutually beneficial objectives. Additionally, you will review and assist clients in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating property and casualty risks, providing technical risk control resource support as needed.

We will Count on you to:

  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive risk management and loss control strategies for clients.
  • Conduct field visits to evaluate property and business interruption exposures and prepare comprehensive findings reports.
  • Liaise with clients and insurers to establish mutually beneficial objectives and provide alternative risk control solutions.
  • Review and assist clients in property and casualty risk identification, quantification, and mitigation.
  • Perform peer reviews and monitor client satisfaction of deliverables and services.
  • Act as a project manager for all related risk control activities for advisory clients.
  • Lead client implementation teams.
  • Develop client-specific risk control key performance indicators and measure results.
  • Promote and facilitate the adoption of continuous risk improvement methodologies.

  • Participate in and support new and expanded business opportunities.
  • Coordinate business development activities.
  • Direct, perform, or review research in support of business development purposes.
  • Utilize and develop spheres of influence to develop new and expanded business.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property risk control consulting preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk control and safety procedures, including NFPA Fire Codes, FM Global engineering standards, and Federal and Provincial Fire and Building Codes.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex messages into simplified content.
  • Highly developed analytical skills.

  • Appropriate licensing.
  • Professional designations (P. Eng, CET) preferred.
  • Experience in the broker, insurer, or third-party/private sector preferred.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $101,000 to $245,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
