Are you experienced at leading a program management office? Are you a passionate builder of teams who excels at creating the processes and implementing the tools that enable your team to succeed? Does leading a program office team to enable the delivery of numerous large-scale telecom builds sound like your next challenge?

Xplore is looking for a seasoned leader, the Director, Network Program Office, to lead a team of program management, financial and system process professionals in delivering Xplore's next generation of networks.

Each member of your team is responsible for facilitating all facets of the network program, including the management of Network financials, executive reporting, defining objectives, monitoring key indicators, risk and issue management, program governance, change management and process development. Your team may also be responsible for representing Xplore to our external stakeholders on a regular basis.

Across all programs, your team will be responsible for assisting the Chief Technology Officer in developing strategies and executing on capital and operational programs to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the whole network team.

Your team will build an extended external team across the entire business and be responsible for assisting in the execution of multi-year plans that successfully deliver these programs for Xplore. Extended teams will include networking professionals from the Strategy, Design, Build, and Operational organizations, plus other teams like Finance, Government Relations and Customer Operations.

This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is virtual-based but will require occasional travel for in-person meetings in Calgary, Markham, and Fredericton.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support your team in the successful delivery of Xplore's roadmap.

• Work with organizational leaders and the executive team to ensure key program KPIs are understood and being clearly communicated across the organization.

• Work with peers across the Network team to ensure programs are adequately staffed and build the cross-functional processes that improve organizational effectiveness.

• Implement tools as necessary to improve communications, enable knowledge sharing and ultimately allow the organization to scale.

• Produce executive-level reports and presentations that inform, aid and support business decisions.

• Work closely with the Finance team to ensure the frameworks are in place to measure key financial metrics across a portfolio of programs.

• Chair regular internal program reviews and effectively lead the cross-functional team in meeting the committed schedule and budget.

• Share your knowledge and experience with the broader Network team and be willing to assist with other activities as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Minimum 20 years of experience leading the delivery of multiple large complex programs (or similar).

• 10+ years' progressive work experience in a telecommunications environment.

• Demonstrated ability to build teams and implement the processes and tools that enable organizations to scale.

• Track record demonstrating an ability to plan, budget, schedule, and monitor a network delivery project from concept to final test and delivery.

• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to confidently represent complex programs to stakeholders and create organizational buy-in for strengthening business initiatives such as new processes and tools.

• Proven ability to break down barriers and foster collaboration across the organization.

• Experience in large-scale network operations and processes is required.

• Experience working within government financial contribution frameworks and the associated external reporting (status, financial, contractual) requirements required by those programs is required.

• Willingness to travel.

As a condition of employment and in order to comply with industry related data security standards, this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal Background Check. Details will be supplied to applicants as they move through the selection process.

Xplore is committed to creating an accessible environment and will accommodate disabilities during the selection process. Please let your recruiter know during the selection process of any accommodation needs.
