About this opportunity:

The Reclamation & Remediation Program Advisor will provide support to a team of reclamation and remediation professionals with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and financial discipline. This team manages a significantly high volume of work due to the size of our portfolio and multiple scopes of work required to achieve site closure. The greatest support for this team will be having someone that is able to further advance our program management by building efficient and effective programs that are enhanced with GIS mapping to assist in field execution activities.

What you'll do:

  • Reclamation & Remediation Program development and management to support the efficient execution of our large Upstream portfolio.
  • Utilize ArcGIS to support the build out of Caribou Restoration Programs in alignment with our ESG Biodiversity Target and upcoming Caribou Sub Regional Plans, in support of asset development needs.
  • Develop and manage GIS Mapping to assist in building efficiencies into our remediation, reclamation and caribou restoration programs.
  • Fosters collaboration between Well Abandonment, Pipeline and Facility Decommissioning and Reclamation & Remediation teams to ensure programs are on track to be completed within defined schedules.
  • Complete technical report reviews of our large volume of Environmental Site Assessments & Detailed Site Assessments.
  • Support our Surface Land/Business Unit/Third-Party requests related to reclamation status updates, landowner inquiries and overlapping exemptions.
  • Support the Reclamation & Remediation team with SiteView data entry, job initiation, job updating, assessment updating, program initiation, document uploading and invoice processing.

Who you are:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Post Secondary Education in Environmental Science or a Science related field considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of industry related work experience with remediation and reclamation, GIS and program planning considered assets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy.
  • Motivated individual with a positive attitude and demonstrated ability to execute in a time-constrained environment.
  • Strong analytic skills, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Engage with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience with ArcGIS and SiteView would be considered an asset.
