Quality Control Coordinator

Job SummaryThis role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of resources in the Quality Control storage areas. The successful candidate will provide support to the department by performing activities that assist chemists in their work.
Key Responsibilities- Log and receive samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for raw materials, in-process, semi-finished, stability, and STR samples.
- Monitor and maintain inventory for primary and secondary standards, including controlled substances, to ensure availability for use.
- Monitor and maintain QC inventories of placebos, capsule shells, system suitability tubes, internal standards, and related compounds/impurities.
- Provide standards, placebos, and certificates of analysis as required for internal and external customers.
- Dispose of and remove raw materials, dosage samples, and expired chemicals in a safe and compliant manner.
- Collaborate with the method optimization group to ensure standards, columns, system suitability tubes, and other items are logged in to LIMS and stored in the correct location.
- Prepare and send samples required for external testing in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Prepare purchase requisitions/purchase orders in Ariba and liaise with vendors for items purchased.
- Coordinate ancillary activities for QC, such as SOP and GMP training, and act as the IS Business Lead for QC.
- Prioritize LTS/IS work to be completed for the department/business unit.
- Work as an effective team member to meet departmental goals, sharing knowledge with team members and across QC.
- Maintain the inventory for controlled substances, ensuring samples are logged and stock reports are updated.
- Work as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.
- Perform all work in accordance with established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.
- Ensure all work is performed in full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, all regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
- Work in a safe manner, collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.
- Demonstrate behaviors that exhibit our organizational values: collaboration, courage, perseverance, and passion.
- Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.
- Community College education in a recognized educational institution in chemistry or a related field; or relevant experience.
- Experience with computer software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
