Embrace the alpine warmth surrounded by pristine Canadian wilderness In Whistler, home to North America's largest ski resort, experience the best of alpine living through world-class ski runs, epic mountain experiences and an upbeat village. When the snow melts, the area becomes a playground for mountain bikers, zip-liners, hikers and adventurers. About the role:
Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as a Full-Time Seasonal, Overnight In Room Dining Server.
Our work environment pairs a strong commitment to excellent service and authentic experiences with an emphasis on creativity and innovation. We are looking for someone with excitement and dedication in serving our guests. Satisfying our guests depends on the united efforts of many, we are most effective when we work together cooperatively, respecting each other's contribution and importance.
Hourly wage: $ $19.00 plus $2.00 per hour overnight shift premium
What you will do:
- Deliver food orders to guest rooms, ensuring special needs or requests are met; verify completed kitchen orders with the order taker or the guest's original order, and transport items promptly for optimal food quality.
- Greet guests, provide engaging descriptions of selected menu items including their origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for tray and dishware removal, and respond to requests within established time standards.
- Break down, clean, and set up room service tables, condiment setups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
- Anticipate guest needs, assess satisfaction, offer suggestions, and promptly address concerns and requests.
- Close guest checks accurately, securing room numbers and signatures; handle voided checks or complimentary meals appropriately.
- Adhere to Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Foster a harmonious and professional work environment, collaborating effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Preferred background in Hospitality Education.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for all aspects of food and beverage.
- Proficient command of the English language.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, coupled with a dedication to customer service.
- Possession of the Serving it Right Certificate.
- Ability to work overnight.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
