Occupational Therapist II, Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at BC Children's and Women's Hospital & Health Centre. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programs to promote patient independence and functional ability.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in occupational therapy.
- Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Health Care and Professionals of British Columbia.
- Two (2) years of recent related experience, including one (1) year in pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- 50 hours of postgraduate coursework or training related to additional procedures, techniques, and job functions for assigned area.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in groups, one-on-one, and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, motivator, and facilitator.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop educational programs and materials.
- Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment.
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to critically appraise research evidence.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
