Job Title: Radiological Technologist About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiological Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services. Job Summary: The Radiological Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices and adhering to departmental standards and protocols. You will work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care. Responsibilities: • Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, including radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations • Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, ensuring safe radiation protection practices • Prepare patients for examination, explaining procedures and providing instructions as needed • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including patient histories and clinical information • Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the department • Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics • Participate in the instruction of employees and/or students, assisting with departmental orientations and in-service presentations Qualifications: • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) • Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment • Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards • Knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff About Fraser Health: Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in British Columbia, serving over 2 million people in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
