Radiological Technologist, CT/General Procedures Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist, CT/General Procedures to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT and radiographic procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform special procedure examinations in CT and radiographic procedures, adhering to departmental policy and procedures.
- Monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, responding to any emergent situations.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, processing and archiving acquired data, and maintaining equipment performance.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, ensuring effective workflow and efficient use of department resources.
- Participate in quality control duties, including equipment testing and maintenance, and contribute to the department's Continuous Quality Improvement program.
- Develop and maintain statistical data related to department activity levels, attendance, and performance appraisals.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one year recent, related experience, including supervisory experience and experience in radiology procedures.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, physicians, and other health care staff.
