Radiological Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, adhering to established standards, procedures, and radiation protection practices.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and providing instructions as needed.
- Monitor patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Clean and test equipment, performing quality control tests and minor adjustments as required.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.
- Participate in the instruction of employees and/or students, assisting with departmental orientations and in-service presentations.
- Participate in approved research and special projects, collaborating with supervisors and other healthcare professionals.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Demonstrated knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and standards of care, including practice of safe work procedures with modality equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment and work independently and in collaboration with others.
