Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snow Cat Operator to join our team at the Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola. As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the resort's ski runs are safe and well-maintained for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate Prinoth Snow Cats to build and maintain ski run surfaces, transporting supplies to and from lodges and other locations as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform minor repair and maintenance work on Snow Cats to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Pre-Start-Up Checks: Perform thorough safety checks on equipment before each use to ensure safe operation.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor equipment gauges and report any defects, accidents, or damage to equipment to the Grooming Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous grooming experience is required, with 2 or more full seasons of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Physical Demands: Must be in excellent physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the Lake Louise Ski Area is an asset, as is previous experience leading a crew.

Our winter maintenance team works a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule, with evening and night shifts.
