Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a Snow Plow Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo plow unit to perform snow removal on local roads and highways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a combo plow unit to clear snow and ice from roads and highways
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Conduct accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Maintain and clean equipment, including combo plow units and other heavy equipment
  • Respond to call-ins within thirty minutes during winter storm events

Requirements

  • DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
  • Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties, such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment maintenance
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
