Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a Snow Plow Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo plow unit to perform snow removal on local roads and highways.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a combo plow unit to clear snow and ice from roads and highways
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
- Conduct accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Maintain and clean equipment, including combo plow units and other heavy equipment
- Respond to call-ins within thirty minutes during winter storm events
Requirements
- DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
- Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties, such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment maintenance
- Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Previous experience in winter-works operations
- Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
- Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
